More than likely. If Villarreal win the Champions League and Russian teams are reinstated then there would be a qualification round required.

As poor as we were last week, we only really lost when our two full backs got injured. Ralston had a poor day but he’s been better before. We didn’t have a left back sub but that says a lot about our options. And Welsh looked lost.
Depending on Jullien (being viable after injury) and CCV (signing up) I expect we’ll want at least one centre back and also a left back.
Similar questions about Jota signing up (who also had an off day) but we’ve had to play Forrest, Johnston, Karamoko and Montgomery as wingers this season and none have looked good enough. So one winger required and one more if Jota leaves.
Finally, I wonder if we’ll try and get more energy for midfield. Rogic and O’Riley aren’t great runners off the ball and even our subs like Bitton are going to be more holding players. Think we might need someone with a better engine in midfield who can play in the #8 role in games where we aren’t controlling the ball.

Anyone in Scotland you’d take?
The chap Calvin Ramsay at Aberdeen looks good for a youngster. Another good going Scottish full back. Aberdeen had another good young left back but don’t know if he’s lost form. And Doig at Hibs has definitely gone backwards.
I think Lewis Ferguson is probably the best midfielder out there but not sure about him. Three Aberdeen players so far which is odd because they’ve been crap so probably says more about my knowledge of other teams than anything else.
I think that Regan Charles Cook lad at Ross County has looked decent against us too but no idea how he does in other games. And Melkersen at Hibs might be a good prospect but we may as well try and go back to Bodo/Glimt and try for a couple of their players.
In short - I’ve no real idea.

Me neither. Here’s a question, putting natural dislike/hatred to one side, who would you take off the huns?
Kent and Kamara.
Bassey has looked good recently and would give us good cover for two positions. Think their other defenders are all fairly decent but Helander is probably too slow for our team and Goldson is probably leaving anyway. Tavernier would do a job getting up and down but not sure he’d enjoy the inverted full back role.
Kamara is still their best midfielder I think even though he hasn’t been playing. Not sure he’d get in our team unless we moved McGregor further forward but he’d be a very capable option. The likes of Arfield would be a reasonable bench option too as an all rounder but he’s 33. They have a much older squad really.
I used to rate Aribo but he seems to be having a poor season. Kent has been really poor this year. Morelos is a very good striker but too much of an asshole to play well in our system I think.
I think Bassey would be my first pick and he’d contribute. Plenty more would be rotation options (even their sub keeper over Bain for example) but Bassey and Kamara if I’d to pick two.

Well as long as they’re good on the ball which means they won’t be cheap. I don’t think they necessarily need to be more physical than McGregor but we could do with 3 of him sometimes.
As weak as we were without the ball against Bodo/Glimt we simply gave them the ball far too often too. So we need players who can run better off the ball and who are good at keeping possession - basically clones of McGregor. Bitton does this job in Scotland a bit but he’s not mobile enough for a higher level.
Other than that Bodo game we played well in defeats to Leverkusen and Betis and caused them problems. And Ange will want us to beat them that way rather than going more defensive and setting up a block.
Juranovic is out today but seemingly we have everyone else available. Think Juranovic will miss the rest of the season so will need Ralston for the run in.
Have Giakoumakis back which will be important. Think he’ll start instead of Abada and probably just go with last week’s team otherwise.
Ross County haven’t lost at home since Ralston’s 97th minute header to beat them a few months ago. This won’t be a stroll.

I honestly think McGregor is one of the best midfielders in Europe. I think he could thrive anywhere.
