Gaaconomics was excellent, was insightful, learnt an awful lot from it. I think I read somewhere that this is a follow up to it.

I forgot to report that I delivered this to the aul lad. He took it and started to look through. I went into the other room to talk to my mother and watch TV.

About ten minutes later I walked back in and past him and he said “I hope to
Fuck you didn’t pay money for that rubbish. There’s nothing in it.”

I was in Eason’s last week intending to buy the book and flicked through it first - its mostly made up of just cover photos of programmes so didnt bother purchase

. Murph himself reads it and while he sometimes comes across as smug , it’s a grand oul listen.

Murph is a harmless aul sort.

Ah yea. It’s admirable in many ways what he’s done by going back to his father’s club to try hurling. As he said, he could have joined any of the clubs in Dublin to do it.
