St Johnstone v Celtic ☘

Don’t think so. His agent has basically said he wants to stay. So think it’s just a form and confidence thing.

This is insipid stuff at the moment.

I wouldn’t take an agent’s words as gospel .

Griffiths is quality.

What a finish.

Klimala did really well there to play on and finish that.

Boom boom, goodnight…

Rogic and Griffiths made a big difference there when they came on.

Oh my. That was awful for 89 minutes but a cracking ending.

Brown was good when he came on, albeit it was a weird game at that point. That’s a fine header from Griffiths who looked lively and dangerous and Klimala had been quiet but that was a super goal.

Excellent from Ajer for the first goal and Elhamed put in a decent cross, though I thought he was poor throughout.

A left back or left wing back is a must. I feel the same way about Taylor that @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy feels about Forrest. Taylor is probably a lovely chap but his touch just isn’t good enough really.

Taylor is mediocre.

We certainly need another option there.

Griffiths and Rogic have to be starters from here on. Obviously a lot with Griffiths depends on his fitness and the work he puts in but he is a livewire and he sniffs goals.

Great result after a brutal display. No proper efforts on goal until the last minute opener. In fairness to Elhamed, he put in a great ball for it. Smashing header by Griffiths and a great goal by Klimala to confirm the win. Thought Frimpong was a bright spark throughout and Duffy was strong back there. A real lack of creativity and very slow and lateral play. The 3-5-2 worked well after Christmas last year until lockdown but it’s become too predictable and/or he’s trying to fit players into it that aren’t suited to the formation. For example, Taylor was pitiful today and he was the only outlet on the left. A late, late win while playing fairly shite is always welcome though, especially when you think of all the huns that would have been sickened by it.

Rogic definitely needs games. He didn’t seem sharp, understandably but a couple of nice touches and got in some decent positions. Griffiths looked immediately dangerous though.

Ntcham was the big disappointment for me today. I would have him behind Brown, McGregor, Christie, Turnbull and now Rogic again for a midfield spot.

This is a very cheering thought. They’ll have been disgusted at that.

Ntcham has an attitude problem. I’d have no problem with him being moved on if a decent bid comes in.

I want to see more of Soro.

I thought the referee did is no favours today, unsurprisingly. You could see them all sliding in from the start. Murray Davidson could and should have been booked 3 times. Turnbull and Ntcham booked very softly on the other hand. Elyounoussi gave away free kicks for standing near their players. Walsh wanted to show how good he was at advantage by giving the Frimpong free from way out instead of the one in front of the goal. Duffy was very obviously pulled back in the first half for a penalty too that the linesman had a very clear view of. Nothing unusual there I guess.

I don’t know if it’s an attitude problem. But he has a problem asserting himself on games against poorer opposition in particular. He has all the technical attributes you’d want in a midfielder but he seems to lower himself to the standard of whoever he’s playing against.
