Stage Dublinness -a Roy 🐐 Curtis education

He could of just said Guinness but it wouldn’t have sounded as nice.

Martin Breheny needs to compile a list of the best Roy Curtis lists of Dublin pubs.

My personal favourite was his April 2022 one.

I remember Dublin City in the rare auld times

Getting onto Roy’s cathedral list is the equivalent of a Michelin star

I don’t think it’s been an outstanding game by any means. Quite a disappointing game apart from the closeness of it.

That’s lovely from Roy. Incidentally, who’s Peter ‘The Doc’ Roche?

One of Dublin’s great pint men.

I’ve just had a few lunchtime sociables outside Neary’s (cc @Spidey) & Kehoe’s, & Dublin is sparkling in the summer sunshine despite the sad news about “The Doc” Roche. I was half expecting to see Roy in one or both cathedrals but the closest I came to the Celeb Spotting or Orange Goat stalking thread was seeing that Kevin Doyle from the Indo supping pints outside Kehoe’s.

He must have given up on spying on the Dublin footballers over in Inisfails. Was he wearing one of his large knotted Penneys ties?

Was it not ‘rochey’ had that scoop? Frank not the doc

Doyle had it splattered all over the front pages of the Indo and the Heddild

On my lunchtime constitutional and it certainly does look well in the sunshine. I spent most of the afternoon looking up the provenance of the yacht in the corner… My Lady is the name of it.
