Was in traffic and spotted this mural there (not my photo, taken from the INTERNET)
Clones?
The Nunâs Beach.
Downpatrick. Home of Ash.
Easy now, fagan will explode
The black fort is a lot quieter than dun aenghus, and free. Itâs actually better as the main selling point of either is the cliffs.
Oh right, I always thought they were Clones. Great band.
Loved Ash. Had an Ash t-shirt about 3 sizes too big for me.
One of the first gigs I went to. Theyâre class.
Smashing county, we gave a week around north Down last summer and plenty to see and do. We stopped at the park in Millisle one of the days and took out the hurls for a few pucks with the kids.
A haggard looking middle aged woman resplendent in a Union Jack dress, boots and cowboy hat ensemble sat down on a bench and gave us both barrels of âfenian bastardsâ etc . I was going to ask her how she thought Portaferry will fare in the upcoming championship but thought better of it.
We made our departure before a few of the local men folk arrived on the scene.
@caulifloweredneanderthal that was probably Picky Park you were at in Bangor. We gave a day in Bangor last summer as well, lovely town.
Must resistâŚ.donât reactâŚtoo many gagsâŚ
Boys extra large
Good thesis there
From Sash to Ash, Northern Irelands Mural Progression, 1972 to 2022
Spent the day in Fanore. Balls of a place to get to but the view was top notch along the coast. Waves were hefty but the childer had boogie boards so loved it. Smashing clientele there, very different to the Kilkee set of which unfortunately Iâve had more experience. Necessities such as bathrooms and food trucks available onsite, very clean and reasonably priced.
It was indeed that spot in Bangor. A grand spot for the âwee wansâ
Youâll grow into it yet
Iâd love to dig it out
Always blows me away to think that Tim had that song pretty much completed as it was when he was 15 years old, incredible song, pure excitement
Ash suck ass
