Yeah, John is managing a non league side over and runs an academy preparing players for pro trials. He is a bit of a club legend at Burton Albion, former Captain there under Nigel Clough. Played in the FA Cup at Old Trafford, played for Villa v Liverpool and Chelsea, played in the playoffs at Wembley…not a bad little career.

The young lad is very handy too by all accounts. With Coventry City.

ok guys, time to upgrade Stephen Ireland to good guy

He’s always been a good guy. A rare case of a decent Cork man. He was blackguarded.

It was odd how Giles turned on him so quickly and viciously during grannygate. He obviously needed help.

he’s a sound fella

he’s doing a bit of work with some of the irish u17s are well, i know definitly with rob Heffernan’s son in trying to help players avoid the situations he came in to or at least ensure a support structure exists for them, Vincent Kompany and his Mrs held him together in the city days and if he learned anything you’d be hoping he could pass it on… His dad ( talk about a footballer) played as well today so that was nice tbh…that made the whole thing
emile heskey was there , robinho was spoken of coming but he’s probably in prision or something

ramblers posted this one earlier as well. that him on the bottom LHS

He sounds very like Buzz McDonall from The Hardy Bucks there.

He’s spot on about gerrard. A nothing player.

The guy had unbelievable talent. Was on huge money at City and Villa so made out okay anyway. Don’t know what happened to him.

The top six inches was where he fell down
