Two days of good weather and sunstroke taking its toll already on a few lads
'arf 'arf
If ye have any powder that needs pissing in, nowâs the time
Youâve poked a bear now
Thatâs like an after match interview with whiny John.
Would you like a pat on the head?
Itâd be nice if Limerick could lose like adults but hey ho.
And on the ground. Watching packs of a dozen fellas trying to rise a ball isnât much watching. Youâd miss one fella tearing in, whipping on all and sundry instead of the fuckacting about.
seeing someone like Lynch or Hegarty come out with the ball in the hands from those is pure wizardry too though
The clash of the ash!
Back in the day, you could pull on the ground while in a group of players but nowadays, thatâs an instant free.
Same with whipping in the air. The only time that makes sense is when crowded out (if youâre unmarked, why wouldnât you catch it) and if you pull mid-air when thereâs people around, itâll almost certainly be a free.
There is a certain element of rose-tinted glasses when it comes to ground hurling, I think. Iâm all for using to move the ball quickly into space and certain players and teams were particularly good at that, moving the ball from back to front quickly. But there were also plenty of cases where fellas were taking the easy option, instead of fighting for the ball, theyâd pull on it and it would go straight to the opposition who would then set up an attack.
Teams are looking to remove the 50/50 element to challenges and 15 vs 15 hurling. Give yourself and advantage both sides of the ball.
Its logical and good coaching.
Gaelic football > hurling
Thereâs been a massive overreaction to this league
Lads hadnât picked up a hurley in 5 months. Of all sports the touch and strike would be impacted massively
The summer will be back to normal and weâll be lauding it again
Most modern coaching in largely silent on a ground stroke . Ground hurling has a place at times but it ainât coming back as a factor .
Where it is missing is with inside forwards pouncing on goal chances . I think this is another factor in the decline of goals . Also that many are now using a shorter hurley is a factor in decline of the ground shot goal .
Chalk it. Just look at their manager with his big steamers head on him. These delicate Galway pansies with their simulation and cheating has drawn down these overzealous rules and wankerised referees with their fairyfied standard of refereeing matches. These horrible cheating pretending Galway players have fucked the game for everyone because they couldnât handle Limerick demonstrating their superiority over them.
You okay chief?
Where is the galway manager from again
Galway?
