20 grand a week I think. Very low for a player of his calibre
They’d have gladly done it last summer and up until last season he hadn’t been anything special really - Barrios was the better player until he got injured.
Story is that Lewandowski will earn 10 million a year, Dortmund offered him 7 million in a panic after Goetze signed but it was far too late.
Dortmund have signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Bremen
To demonstrate the fall of Bandage as an observant poster with his finger on the pulse, I will share a story from the pub last Friday. We were discussing potential new Liverpool signings and we came to Papadopoulos from Schalke. Bandage pipes up with ‘I’ve heard he is good but I just read there that he is joining Dortmund’. It pained me to point out to him that it was in fact Papastathopoulos that was joining Dortmund from Werder Brehem and that he had got the names mixed up.
I wouldn’t blame Bandage here, I’d blame those fucking Greeks and their quite frankly ridiculous names.
Spanish Media reporting Falcao has signed for Monaco for €60m.
Where’s Platini now and his financial fair play? Or is it ok for French clubs?
United are opening talks with Barcelona on signing Alcartara and Fabregas according to Miguel Delaney.

How could you believe anything from a man named Miguel Delaney?

The French authorities aren’t too happy with Monaco and are trying to get them to pay taxes in France so I doubt Platini is a huge fan either.
It’s also demonstrative of a very poor understanding of German football that a player transferring from Schalke to Dortmund would just pass under the radar like that.
Didn’t Neuer get a really hard time initally off the Bayern fans because he was ex Schalke? Never knew there was such a ferocious rivalry there.
There isn’t that big a rivalry there. Dortmund Schalke is the biggest rivalry and I guess for both teams their next biggest rivals would be Bayern but for Schalke that’s just like the way that Arsenal v Man United might be a rivalry. It’s just from competitiveness as opposed to any particular history, geography or ideology.
Two things that did add to Neuer’s problems are 1: he was a very public fan of Schalke so it wasn’t like he was just a random player and 2: he mimicked Oliver Kahn poses when playing for Schalke and this didn’t go down well with the Bayern fans.
It was all very strange really. Goetze presumably won’t get the same treatment but there isn’t a bigger rivalry with Schalke.
Sky Italia are reporting that Chelsea are going to make a bid of €30 million + Fernado Torres for Edinson Cavani
Rafa just might go for that!
Bad deal for Napoli if true and a great deal for Chelsea.
Chelsea would manage to get rid of a player who has been a failure and would be very tough to move and into the bargain get arguaby the best striker in the world (after Zlatan of course). Napoli should be looking for about €45-50m + Torres.
I refuse to believe these Fabregas to Man U rumors.
Just goes to show how acrimonious his departure from Arsenal was though when there hasn’t been a murmur about him coming back despite Arsenal having first option on him as part of his transfer to Barcelona.
I’d find it hard to understand why he would want to go back to Arsenal
Napoli (and Fiorentina) have been heavily linked with Mario Gomez. He’s almost certain to leave Bayern anyway. Can’t imagine Gomez and Torres would both be joining Napoli - the main reason each of them would want to move would be to play as the primary striker.
