Summer Transfer Window 2013

Thiago gone to Bayern for around 25 million euro. Hard to see him getting his game with Martinez and Schweinstiger there but they are building a pretty formidable squad.

I though he had a clause that allowed him to leave for €18m? I’d imagine he will be starting alongside Martinez and Schweinsteiger in midfield.

He had but Man Utd were pushing hard. Martinez is being pushed back to centre half next year apparently…which is interesting as he refused to join Barca because they wanted to play him centre half.

Utd to activate fellaini’s release clause of 23.5 million this week.they are also reported to be upping their bid for baines to 18 million

Moyes is really showing the excellent scouting network he has.

Republic of Ireland international Darren O’Dea has left MLS side Toronto, the club have confirmed.
It is reported that the former Celtic player, 26, is in negotiations with an unnamed Ukrainian side.
Head coach Ryan Nelson said: “He got a contract from Ukraine and it was one he couldn’t turn down. He wanted to go. It was a good opportunity for him.”
Over the weekend, O’Dea, who has 19 senior caps, tweeted: “For every1 asking I’m discussing terms with another team. Not what I want! Not got a choice! I’ll update you when things are clearer!”
O’Dea joined the Canadian side last summer and was club captain.

Release clauses are paid to the player who then buys out his contract so they trigger a tax liability for the player. Be surprised if they are activated all that often in practical terms.

“I didn’t say he moved for a million quid, I said he had a clause in his contract that allowed him to move for a million quid. Now you get your facts straight.”

Utd to make a 35million bid for fabregas

United fans make me laugh thinking they can sign Cesc. It’s not gonna happen.

He has a 20mill buy out with Arsneal with the first option to buy him I think

United have bid 25 Million for Cesc Fabregas according to the Sky Sports news ticker.

This Fabregas story was big news for Sky earlier but there’s no chance that Fabregas will leave or that Barcelona would sell another midfielder.

Martinez may well be dropping back to centre back.

Hard to see how they’ll squeeze everyone in - Lahm played in a holding role in a 4-1-4-1 the other day in a friendly and Kroos played in that holding role in another game. But a trio of Thiago, Martinez and Schweinsteiger would involve 3 similar type players (in that they’re all #6 types) and would rule out the likes of Kroos and Muller from playing. Interesting to see if they play Goetze as a centre forward or add him to those secondary attacking options with Mueller, Robben, Ribery, Shaqiri and Kroos.

Richard Dunne has joined QPR on a 1-year deal.

Martinez is a very poor centre back as far as I’m concerned. He was diabolical in the Europa League Final.

I see where Crystal Palace are signing some Spanish U-20 player who played 20 times for Seville last season for around 1.5 million. That seems slightly more reasonable than what they paid for this Gayle lad.

Apparently there’s some clause in there that the contract can be cancelled if his injury problems flare up. Considering it’s only a one-year deal, they’re obviously not very confident of him staying fit.

rumours of a 20m liverpool bid for shaqiri who hasnt really gotten going at bayern and it wont be easier with the arrival of goetze and alacantara

Cavani has signed for PSG.

Napoli’s next signing looks set to be Raul Albiol. Never really rated him to be honest.
