Summer Transfer Window 2013

There are reports circulating that Napoli have agreed a fee with Mardid for Higuain. €37m plus another potential €3m in bonuses. Image rights relating to his contract could turn end up scuppering the deal.

If Higuain does join then he will be the third player to join from Madrid this summer after Callejon and Albiol.

Soldado to Spurs looks a done deal. €26 million. While I don’t think he is worth that he is a better player than Adebayour and Defoe. AVB has strengthened the squad this summer and I think they will make the top four.

La Liga has been fairly raped of some of its better players this summer

Still need a full back

Liverpool set to sign Aly Cissokho on loan from Valencia. Option to buy…

I like him as a player I must say.

Any word on another centre half?

Fuck all, mate. Toure looks to be it.

Has reina gone to Napoli?

Yes.

Josip Ilicic has joined Fiorentina for €9m - an absolute bargain. Fiorentina look really strong this season, hopefully they can convince Ljajic to sign a new contract as there is great attacking quality in this side - Rossi, Gomez, Cuadrado, Joaquin, Ilicic, Fernandez and Ljajic are all very exciting players.

Arsenal have had an improved offer of £40,000,001 for Luis Suarez rejected by Liverpool.

Nani being linked with an £8.5 million move to Monaco. Would be a decent signing for that price

Is they smoking?

United and Arsenal are making some clowns of themselves this summer in the transfer market. Wenger needs to buy some average French or African striker and be done with it. Moyes should buy Felliani and stop making fools of themselves talking about signing Ronaldo and the like.

The bid for Fabregas is a strange one. They have made two bids now so they must think they have some chance of getting him. From the outset it looks like they don’t have a chance given Fabregas’ desire to get back to Barcelona and given Barcelona’s unwillingness to sell which has been publically stated as well as being evidenced through the sale of Thiago.

Higuain and Reina had medicals in Napoli today. De Laurentiis deserves his dues on the transfer campaign Napoli have embarked on, they are really going for the Scudetto this season. I wonder if that’s them done for the summer now.

Indeed, whilst loosing their best player they’ve probably improved as a unit. I reckon their comparative lack of depth to Juve could hinder them from maintaining a title challenge though

I think only the midfield needs bulking up now, they’re well stocked in attack and defence.

I believe he’s still saying “more to come.”
