The rumour mill is suggesting that the deal fell through after Borini refused to join Sunderland. Liverpool didn’t have the minerals to keep all those strikers on the books.
I have to say I did find Remy’s transfer fee on the low side, that suggests that he may have some medical issues.

Remy had a release clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for £8 million to a Champions League club or at least that what was reported

Osvaldo to Inter and Taider to Southampton on loan deals according to the latest reports from Italy. Probably a good deal for both clubs, Osvaldo is a good player when his head is screwed on but they guy is a prick, think Mazzarri might get the best out of him though.
Inter have done some very decent transfers this summer, if Medel and Osvaldo come in then I think all they are lacking is another striker and defender, they have managed to shed a lot of their old guard this season and I think the team will have much more of a Mazzarri stamp on in the coming season.
I’d be expecting a starting XI along the lines of:
