Summer Transfer Window 2017

noted

It went to the dogs there about a year ago alright.

Incidentally there was a nice little twitter spat between an OTB producer and a former OTB star last night.

Really? What/why/who? That lispy dickhead Murfphf who thinks everything Connacht is poetic failure?

I would say better than most overall tbh

How many attacking midfielders are they planning on playing per game?

Seven

Everton? They haven’t many options in that position and will lose Barkley, they’ve a few wide players alright but Siggurddson will improve them hugely.

Rooney, Klaasen and Sigurdsson now. You can’t have that many slow players in an attack

To put into perspective. He’s cost about same as City paid for Bernardo Silva.

I hadn’t considered that Klaasen fella, don’t know anything about him, Siggy will make them a better team though, the price is completely bonkers but when you compare it to what’s going on you’d nearly understand, his set piece delivery is world class and he’s a very clever player, great playmaker. Everton will have no complaints

He really isn’t that good outside of set pieces. He already failed at Spurs

He might improve them from being the 7th best team in the league to being the 7th best team in the league

I can’t see them finishing higher than 7th tbh.

They’ll probably not finish lower than 7th either tbf.

There’s a drop off outside the top 6 and Lukaku won’t be easily replaced, 7th would be acceptable surely.

A great set-piece taker, really quality dead ball and a good eye for goal. But doesn’t do much else and the overall team suffers. You have to carry him for that really.

Still, they’re not overflowing with options there and if they get Bolasie back soon, he might win a few frees for Siggy to whip in

Rogic > Sigurdsson

He is a nice footballer. He is an excellent dead ball striker and can pick a pass but he lacks pace and is the kind of lad who a team has to be pretty much built around to get the best out of him, just like what Swansea and Iceland do.

He isn’t a transformational player who will take a side to the next level by any means but is an effective player when in the right set up. Similar to Cabeye at Newcastle or Charlie Adam at Blackpool when the whole team was set up to get the best out of them and cover their limitations but can’t consistently make the step up when the team isn’t geared to their strengths as was the case at Spurs.

ÂŁ45 million is madness.

Sigurdsson is way better than that useless bottling cunt Cabaye tbf.
