Did you not make the game mate?
I was fervently against Limerick playing in Thomond Park as I thought the atmosphere would be rubbish and the place simply wouldn’t suit LOI football. However, the atmosphere seemed decent on the telly and the big pitch might actually suit Limerick’s passing style.
As 0-0’s in League of Ireland go, I quite enjoyed that. Limerick looked very confident on the ball and our midfielders in particular played some nice and intelligent stuff. Great to see
The new signings did very well I thought. Folan looks excellent at centre half and Galbriath looked a danger out on the wing. Curren seemed ok also. The boy “Alex” looks like a right headless chicken however - bad touch and very often making terrible decisions. Lets give him time though as his pace maybe useful yet.
Drogheda away next followed by a home game against UCD a few days later. A good chance to pick up 2 wins hopefully.

Did you not make to the game either mate?
I’m Dublin based MBB and unfortunately I was unable to get down to Limerick and back again today. Before you start accusing me of being a bandwagon jumper, you can reference last year’s Super Blues thread for proof that I’ve attended games in recent years when I had the opportunity.
Thats a more than acceptable reason phil. Best of luck to you this season.
I hope to get to a good few games this season if possible. We play all the teams 3 times this season but we seem to have the Dublin teams at home twice and away only the once. I would probably get to more games if it was the other way around.
No, I am in Cork.
Had planned to go to the original which was set for Friday but the change of date fucked that.

Sorry to hear that. The atmosphere did seem quite good, can see the move to Thomond being a very successful one. The rendition of The Fields seemed electric.
I can’t wait until I am in the thick of it belting it out…
Decent display, they played some good football at times tonight. Both wingers looked dangerous throughout. A positive start to the season.
What was the atmosphere like to be there in person mate?
A few young skangers behind me broke up a couple of plastic seats which will have the rugby crowd seething. A crowd of 3,500 is pretty good for the first game. For UCD on Tuesday week I’d say there’ll barely be a thousand.
That’s par for the course, I imagine the rent will easily cover a few seats. Man, that rendition of The Fields was spine tingling over the box anyway.
Give it up FFS
Give it up? This coming from you about a question to dodgy? I think its well documented how much Dodgy admires the rogby set mate, this is quite relevant.
Retard
2-2 away to Drogheda.
3 pens given against us. 2 players sent off and the manager sent off.
Dat’s Limerick Citaaaay
A good 3-1 win at home to UCD tonight. were coasting at 3-0 at HT. 2 for young Rainsford , a great prospect. So still undefeated after 3 games and 5 points on the board.Everyone would have to be happy enough with that.
Were you at it RTT?
Played some nice stuff at times but they really faded in the 2nd half and let a poor UCD side back into the game. Understandable I suppose considering they stormed into an early 3-0 lead and our next game is away to the champions and league leaders.
Bad injury for Dave O’Leary by the looks of it. A pity as he looks a very tidy midfielder.
Well impressed with the lad Curran up front. Holds the ball up very well and works his arse off for the team.
