Super Bowl 50: The Road to Santa Clara

The Vikings have only been an outdoors team a while now, I doubt many of their players have played in this kind of cold before either.

Pats @ 13/8 for the AFC… Someone talk me out of it please

I’m not happy about this. I am used to heartbreaking failure, I don’t want someone who has been complicate in and from a culture of systematic cheating to be GM of the Lions

Don’t worry pal, most exports from foxboro have failed more often than not. McDaniels, Dimitroff, Weis, Crennel, Mangini, Pioli and so on. Bill O Brien is doing OK at Houston, even with a heap of former patriots with him.

Marshawn Lynch is out of this weekends game

The Eagles have made an approach to the legendary Tom Coughlin. They want to meet with him on Monday to discuss him taking over as Head Coach.

This would be fucking incredible.

No.

Don’t do it Tom, don’t tarnish your career.

12 personnel or not, the Bengals D is more than able for it… the one thing going for the Steelers is obviously the amount of attention Brown will garner and prevent the box from being stacked.Still i think it i will be hard for the steelers with a third string Rb.

I havent gone stat checking but the bengals d is in the top 5 this year?

Texans to win under 40.5 points
Bengals + 2.5
Seattle to win
Green bay to win

Roughly 20/1 accum.

Is Williams deffo out for Pittsburgh?

Cant see the texans doing it

yeah Williams is out, sprained ankle.

Adam Gase signs a 5 year deal as new coach of the Miami Dolphins. Strongly believed that Vance Joseph will join as DC once the Bengals season ends. He’s married to Joe Vitt’s daughter, so he may be involved in some capacity too. A splashy hire no doubt, he will utilise the running game properly which was Philbin’s biggest flaw, but may have to do it without Miller who is an UFA.

Gase is a QB whisperer as well so they may see more out of Tannehill.

In the way you are an arse whisperer?

Of the other HC gigs left open:

SF - Hue Jackson is a strong front-runner, interviewing on Sunday. If York and Baalke are as committed to the hire as they seem to be, he’ll be the next coach
NYG - Gase was getting interest, but he’s off the market. I imagine they’ll go with McAdoo, who would be a popular hire in the building. Spagnuolo interviewed too, but I imagine McAdoo would have a much stronger claim based off his work in 2015 and Spags poor run with the Rams in the background. Teryl Austin got an interview and can’t be ruled out.
TB - This is Dirk Koetter’s job to lose, I’d be shocked if they went in a different direction.
TEN - This one is a bit up in the air. There’s talk that they may keep Mularkey, which I think would be uninspiring. Kelly will keep getting mentioned, but the league seems to be cool on him for now. They won’t make any important moves till they get a GM in place, and strategy will be clearer then.
CLE - Austin, Sean McDermott, Matt Patricia and Marrone all in the mix here. The hire of DePodesta will be big here, and they may have to actually sell themselves to a candidate. They will need someone to buy in to the culture, which I think would have them leaning towards Patricia.
PHI - Lurie always favours offensive coaches, no reason to think that will change. Doug Pederson appears to be a strong candidate given his success in KC and Eagles background. The Coughlin talk is interesting, but the meeting arranged is believed to be a mere sounding out rather than an interview. Paul Guenther (Bengals DC) is being interviewed, and may be a dark horse. Another scenario that can’t be ruled out is Shurmur getting the gig as a placeholder - the roster is a mess so it makes sense to hold down the fort till a long term strategy can be figured, Shurmur would have the incentive to try and win the job long term

My you’re in fantastic form today.

Is Princess is a tetchy mood or something?

You horrible bastard…

Indeed, but that’s a narrative we’ve seen already with Lazor. It may be the case that he’s already at the level he’s capable off. Certainly, a more robust running game will help him, and that’s assured with Gase.

Clowney out for the Texans. I’m sticking with them still.

Think it finally sways me. Hard to pick a winner, but I think Kansas can concentrate more on Watt now
