Super Bowl 50: The Road to Santa Clara

It begins again…

This will be known as Super Bowl 50 and not Super Bowl L as the NFL has decided to stand down the practice of using Roman numerals for next year’s game.
It will revert to numerals in 2016 with Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Seahawks 5/1 favs.

Hard to see past the Cowboys next year

Yeah I’m struggling here.

Next year is the year of my beloved bills

Very excited for next year. Chargers have a shit tonne of cap space so they can afford to be aggressive in FA. Resigning Flowers and Dunlap has to be the priority. The indications from front office point to Mathews not getting a deal, but wasting money on a big money back is not something I’d like to see.

Colts sign former number 1 pick…

The NFL combine gets underway in earnest today in Indianapolis. The big news is that Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota will both be throwing at the event.

These two player’s stock have been trending in different directions lately, Winston has been going through the ceiling and its looking like Tampa Bay will take him with the #1 pick. Mariota looks like he could be facing a slide as scouts have picked apart his game and big doubts have emerged about his suitability to run a pro offense.

Another player to watch will be former Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham. Touted by some as the next Calvin Johnson he got expelled from school last year for smoking pot and pushing his mot down the stairs and missed the entire season. He’s a rare athlete who would be a top 10 pick without the off the field stuff, if he lights up the combine some team will roll the dice with him in the first round.

You’re welcome.

Reggie Bush has been cut by Detroit Lions. Thoughts, @chewy louie?

Not really surprised. Bell is the defacto no 1 running back and while Reggie is a play maker we really need more from our ground game

His injury record last season was abysmal, any chance he is crook or was it just one of those seasons?

Cheers for the reply, @The Puke.

Dez Bryant in a spot of bother. Couldn’t have timed this any worse as he was about to break the bank in free agency.

came home to these today…

Unreal. Unbelievable.

Word around the sub-continent is that his release is the clearest sign yet that former NRL freak of nature Jarryd Hayne will be offered a contract by the Lions.
