Gronkowski comes across as a thoroughly alright sort and unlike the majority of pro athletes he seems to be really enjoying it as well. Itās great to watch him.

Could have been oh so different for the Saints. There was probably a 3 year window there to win a superbowl with Brady but I think Brees reconsidered retiring when he heard the rumours. Now Saints probably go with Jameis Winston who since been in the league has lead the Bucs to 6-10, 9-7, 5-11, 5-11 & 7-9 seasons. Brady comes in after no pre season with much of same personnel and leads them to the superbowl. Brady was looking around the league last year for potential suitors literally asking who wants to go to the superbowl and made it happen.

Gronk is far more astute than people make him out to be and is one of greatest tight ends to play the game. More importantly he doesnāt take himself too seriously. He must have something going for him if Brady goes for him time and time again.

Iām not sure where the talk of him retiring came out of. In fairness you couldnāt write a better parting script or final act. Schooling the heir to be after being written off and discarded by a franchise that you helped create a dynasty for, doing it in home stadium and going through some of greatest QBās to play the game. He has totally changed the culture in Tampa Bay now. The piece after the championship game with a teammate crying and Brady setting him straight is why he is who he is. It is never enough.
