Super Bowl LV - The triumphant trail to Tampa (Part 2)

Well spotted. Though that’s from 2014 so the rams area is probably chiefs now and Vegas changed also. Gas how la was all still raiders, none in the bay area. Gives credence to the idea the chargers and rams are doomed to fail there

That’s hardly a surprise, the big blue were one of the founding fathers, there was never anything to attract Giants fans away to the Jets, same name, same city, same stadium pretty much as the Giants had recently vacated the Polo Grounds.

crazy the geographical area that the Broncos have

Raiders are sort of franchise that are a movement or an idea. Where they are based wouldn’t really matter. They were the team for ghetto blacks and bikers and all sorts of weirdos and deviants. Al Davis encouraged it, he was a genius when it came to marketing

Further to the point on gronkowski changing his run mid play, it seems AB also ran the wrong route but still managed to get a TD out of it

This link shows the play as ran by Edelman in Seahawks Superbowl where the cut is out rather than in

At what point did Brady throw it for gronks change, had gronk turned?

As for Tyree, Eli aimed for him, or at least a blue jersey and it was a brilliant catch. I don’t see the luck it wasn’t a heave

Giants wore white, but you’re correct, it was not a Hail Mary

I stand corrected.

A lad that feigned ignorance earlier know’s every breakdown of the play now. Out of 100 he holds on there once … It’s millimetres from the ground and he knows little about it . The strength and fight to hold on are brilliant, no one questioning the effort but come on ffs… He has it pinned to his helmet falling backwards, it comes off by pure fluke.

I didn’t feign ignorance of that play, I remember that quite well, I only asked why you considered the win so lucky and you responded, thanks.

I watched it there a while ago

Shut what would 2 time Eli know

What exactly are we disputing here? You seem to have picked up a hanger on looking for blood but I really don’t know what’s at the heart of this.

Just to be clear, I never feigned ignorance of the play, I completely accept that it was a highly unlikely play in every way, but all great pieces of skill are like that, they wouldn’t be remembered otherwise.
I recently read a book called Any given sunday which gave over a lot of words to that catch, but look I’m not arguing, I only asked you a question.

There’s no beef… I think it was a very lucky catch. It’s regarded as the luckiest catch in Superbowl history. That’s about it from me.

It’s not why they won and every team, including the Pats, have had their fair share of luck.

I find it hard to believe you think it’s s great catch

This is not a set up, do it yourself

THE catch.

The luck was that somehow Eli evaded the pressure, he looked wrapped up, he saw tyrees blue helmet, threw it, Tyree saw it went up fought for it and brought it down. Under huge pressure. He did exactly what he tried to do, get it and bring it down and he saw it coming. If he wasn’t under huge pressure he wouldn’t have had to pin it against the helmet but there was nothing fortuitous about that.

Just found out this form of American football exists. No pads, no helmets.
