The patriots thing is madā¦a few years with Bill and these lads think they are the shit. Be more in line if they went to another organization as an OC/DC first. Judge is a pure ham.
In fairness Judge should never have gotten the gig in the first place. It was a terrible move by the Giants/Gettleman. He had accepted the Mississippi State job and wasnāt within an asses roar of an NFL head coaching job at that point.
His interview last week was bizarre - full of half truths, lies and paranoia. The man seemed to have a very thin skin, very little emotional intelligence or much of a personality.

The Seth Wickersham book has good insight into this. All these coaches have been molded by Bill and the Patriots way. All they know is the relentless grind and hard work which has molded them as coaches, the problem is that because the majority join the Patriots as staffers and then become positional coaches and then coordinators they only know the Patriots way/style of coaching. It is a drab and boring slog which makes it tough to transfer. But when you have the rings to back it up it works. But without the success it soon runs its course.
That is all well and good if you have the encyclopedia of footballing knowledge that BB has built up over the last 60 odd years along with the experience he gained over that time. But these guys donāt have that. They are just yellow pack BBs without the in depth knowledge or feel for the game that he has and player soon see that.
Vrabel, while not a BB disciple but played under him for a long time has been a great success. Mainly because he is doing things his way.

I dont know of anyone who thought he would get a HC job. It was a shocking move. He was a special teams coach with NE and only assistant. At least with Flores, he was a DC with the Patriots before getting the Miami gig. both adding to the list of sacked ex Patriots coaches becoming head coaches, albeit Flores should not have been let go from Miami.

And in fairness, there was HC buzz about Flores even before he became the DC. I think he even had a couple of HC interviews while still LB coach.
It will be interesting to see how McDaniels does when he decides to be a HC again and how much his approach will have changed from his time as Broncos HC.
Yeah I think is he hanging out longterm for the Patriots gig really. But they go elsewhere like you say trying to replicate the BB model and have control over everything. Hence why Bill OāBrien ultimately failed at Houston. JMD tried do similar at the Broncos and failed miserably. They way he fucked over the Colts too is a big black mark against him.

Drafting Tebow, after trading away 3rd and 4th round picks to do so, meant his time at Denver was over.
Win or lose weāre gonna have to see Mac make some plays this weekend. He wonāt have to make sustained long drives, they wonāt deviate too much from what theyāve been doing all year but he will have to make a few throws or go off script to keep drives alive.
He has started to make a few rookie mistakes over the last month - opposition now have plenty of tape on him but you look at what the Colts did to him, kept giving him multiple different reads and continuously shifting aroundā¦ Took him 3 quarters to sort it out. Saturday wonāt be any easier.
Heās had a good year, has been minded well by Billā¦ But heās gonna have to give us a little honey this weekend - thereās no sympathy for any body in the playoffs. Hopefully the boy becomes a man this Saturday and we see a bit more of whatās to come.
