Super Bowl LVI - The intricate incline to Inglewood (Part 1)

Ah lads :grinning:
what the fuck did the niners do? Theyā€™ve set themselves back a couple of years for Trey Lance, theyā€™d have gotten him at twelve

Saints went for a bit of a reach with their pick. A number of potentially very good o line, WR and defensive players will be available in the first half of the second round. Iā€™d say there will be a good bit of trade action and an early run on o line as the likeS of the Jags, Bengals and Dolphins look to strengthen these lines.

They would have gotten him at 20 I reckon.

The Bears have gotten a far better deal trading up and possibly a better QB too

I was really hoping Bill would move for himā€¦

Happy enough with Surtain, would have preferred Parsons but Patonā€™s reasoning that the AFC opposition are all pass heavy teams so you need all the secondary help you can get makes sense.

Hard to know what to make of the Rodgers rumours. Iā€™d say Paton was up all night trying to figure out how to clear up cap space and seeing what kind of an offer might persuade the Packers to let him leave.

I think Lawrence is the only sure pick of the 5 QBs to go on and be a top 10 QB at least. But Lance, Fields and Jones have all landed in good spots and will get fair shots with good coaches and cast around them.

I think Wilson will be the bust, he just seems to be the wrong side of the cocky/arrogant line for me. That is a tough market with a new head coach. I think he will struggle.

Broncos will surely pip the Lions into taking JOK the linebacker from Notre Dame.

Very surprised he made it out of the first round

Yeah I thought Denver might trade back and New Orleans were keen to do a deal with them apparently. Itā€™d be a massive shock if they donā€™t take an edge rusher in the 2nd with Miller in his final year and coming off an injury.

A MVP and a superbowl winner there, third lad a bust

that mean much if he cant stay up right?

solder to come back at LT move thoms to RT and the gaurs are half decentā€¦

bar that the O is looking good, shit or bust for Danny Dimes

I think Danny will do alright with a healthy Oā€¦ Needs to cut out a lot of mental errors alright ā€¦ A fit Barkley helps obviously.

This kid is going to make a show of you.

The Bengals pick seemed strange to me. It seems that they honestly think that this guy is going to be an elite level NFL WR and they also like that heā€™s worked with Burrows. The line ā€œHis track record against future NFL cornerbacks in the SECā€ is interesting. Chase has to deliver now.

The Cardinals picks seems slightly odd as well but heā€™s the highest drafted LB so I guess they just thought he was the best player left.

As I predicted the Steelers have gone for a RB the first round. If Harris turns into a top-20 NFL RB that would be a solid pick for them.

The 49ers - god only knows. Did they initially think that Sewell would go in the top 2? Or you could have very conservatively minded people freaking out about Fieldā€™s epilepsy. Bizarre.

Iā€™ll let @Big_Dan_Campbell field this one.

Burrows struggled to find anyone beyond 20 yards last yearā€¦ They went after someone who they think can help.

But the lad got murdered last yearā€¦they signed a right tackle in free agency but Iā€™d imagine theyā€™ll go OL from hereā€¦ They have to.

Chase as a 19 year old was the best WR in college football. He will be an Antonio Brown level receiver in the pros Iā€™d say. Iā€™d rather him than Kyle Pitts who was picked before him.

Himself and Sewell were the two best non QB players in the draft imho.

Collins is massive for an inside line backer and has freaky athleticism to go with it. Will be interesting to see how they use him.

Burrows canā€™t throw to Chase when his leg is broken.
