Super Bowl LVI - The intricate incline to Inglewood (Part 1)

LA should support the Rams, they have decent history there. Raiders but didn’t stay that long and were always an east bay team. Niners would be popular all over Cali.

WWF.

Looks like Allen now. Word is he cancelled an interview with the Bears. Dan Quinn might be lined up to take that gig.

Caldwell has the Bears gig by the sounds of it. He was in the building yesterday meeting with the new GM. Quinn to the Broncos I’d say. Leftwitch has the Jags job

Quinn or Carmichael would make the most sense alright.

Wouldn’t write off O’Connell for Denver yet.

Does look like it’s Quinn’s to lose going into the second round interviews.

If I was Quinn there’s no way I’d take a job without a qb, he has rehabbed his image after the Superbowl debacle.

This may be good last big change to be a HC why take the risk?

Mike is well plugged in

That’s interesting. Lombardi has his finger on the pulse.

I suppose he could come back all guns blazing in round 2.

@count_of_monte_crist the only comeback to that is that amount of draft picks the Broncos are after building up as trade capital.

The interviews are important to the owners. I suspect that’s why Bienemy hasn’t been hired yet, he’s obviously a great football mind but mightn’t be impressive one on one with an owner or GM. They might be shooting themselves in the foot placing so much weight on interviews, but it’s how they like it for better or worse. Daboll was the front runner for the Chargers last year until Staley shot the lights out in the interview.

then there’s uncertainty re ownership, if there’s new owners are they gonna want ā€œtheirā€ guy

There are a lot of skeletons and off-field issues with Bienemy. Most probably why he hasn’t made the step up to HC anywhere.

stuff that happened 20 yrs ago?

And more recently.

Did Payton have anything to do with that insane money they gave to Taysom Hill which has set them back massively ???

It is 10 million a year. While he is completely overpaid, it isn’t that big issue.

Michael Thomas cost them over 20 million this year and played zero snaps. Drew Brees cost them 10 million + this year despite being retired. Cap can be kicked down the road but at some point you have to do a hard reset to stay competitive. Now is as good a time as any for the Saints

Thomas and Brees deserved the money they were getting paid when they negotiated a contract, Hills contract was absolute lunacy for a gadget player when they were already fucked

Burrow is well used to taking hits
