Hey look, hard luck to the Giants. They’ve had a great year but the way the O-line got bullied in the first half last night was embarrassing. Going into that, they would have thought that the O-line was their best strength. Theyve made progress but TBH that will be a very chastening experience for them. It would remind you of Roscommon getting promoted to Division 1 and then realising that they just aren’t big and strong enough. What are you supposed to do? No quick fixes anyway.

Look at their last 10 games… they beat the hapless Texans and Colts and Heineken at the Commanders. The Vikings have one of the worst defenses in the league… The Giants are mediocre at best.

They went from 4-13 last season with a turnover machine at QB and a running back who had not realised his full potential to 10-7 with a QB and RB duo who are future of the franchise. Last night was always going to be a bridge too far. Going for it on 4-8 on 40 yard line was lunacy and set the tone for the game and what came after. They have no receiving weapons so they did very well to get this far. A smart draft and a couple of shrewd free agent signings and they will not be far off it. They are to have the 4th most cap space in the league in 2023.
