The Bears have done a lot of stupid shit. Trading the first pick to that Panthers team in exchange for the Panthers first round pick next year plus a whole lot more might turn out to be one of their better decisions.
They need to nail the head coach appointment and probably need a new GM. The upcoming draft is loaded and if they have two top 5 picks will get two corner stone players but their roster really lacks talent.
Hard to see what they can get for Fields if they have the number 1 pick as teams will know they want to unload. For all his running skills and decent deep ball he is woeful at the bread and butter stuff you need an nfl QB to do. If they stick with him medium term they are going nowhere.
Iād say Fields is worth a 2nd maybe.
With the collapse of Mack Jones that now looks like an awful QB class - Lawrence the last man standing I think?
