Where were they when Don Revie took over ???
Snigger
Marcelo Bielsa instilled some proper Yorkshire grit into this Leeds team at half time.
In Bielsa we trust
This is a wonderful way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of what is perhaps the definitive Leeds performance of the classic era, a 5-1 thrashing of Manchester United on February 19th, 1972. Sniffer Clarke, Peter Lorimer, @mick_jones et. al in their absolute pomp.
What does that have to do with anything?
That’ll put the hipsters in their place.
This is a Leeds United thread - asking what has he to do with anything is nuts
The Brits are circling
The last English manager to win the league was Howard Wilkinson - proof of Yorkshire grit
Norman Hunter, Jack Charlton and Don Revie will be turning in their graves at this Leeds United defending.
Best Leeds team ever
Throw your coins now ye scum bags
Embarrassing defending. Leeds are crying out for the Yorkshire grit at the back that Harry Maguire provides for Man U.
Leeds in complete free fall. The only real positive that they can probably draw at this stage is it’s Spurs up next at home.
Has Bielsa learned the native lingo yet? As good a coach as he is, he’s totally hamstrung if he can’t communicate his ideas effectively.
I see the few teams below Leeds have games in hand, not much use unless they win them but they could be in trouble once the number of games played evens out.
Leeds look very poor. and they have no striker
And they’re shit at the back.
Leeds have a hard run of games but still a lot of dross left to play. The entire squad outside of Bamford, Phillips and Raphina is very average. Bamford hasn’t played in months with no sign of when he’ll be back. Phillips is back in March.
From March 13th they play Norwich, Wolves, Southampton and Watford. Assuming Phillips is back for those its realistic to have a target of 8 points from those game. They’re lucky that some of the teams beneath them are awful but should have enough to avoid the drop.
Squad needs massive enhancing over the summer though. Bielsas way of playing is just going to result in further injuries.
