The first few games Denver did well because the running game was working and Siemian had more time to make decisions. Since then a number of injuries has affected the O Line, particularly at RT and that’s affected Anderson’s impact on games.
That’s completely exposed Siemian limitations, namely poor decision making under pressure. I can’t see him improving enough in this regard to be the long term starter. Paxton Lynch will probably get a shot to take over the role but I think smart money will be on Elway trying to work some magic in free agency/trades next off season.
I don’t think a play off run will happen this season given the competitiveness of the AFC West, and mainly due to the fucking mental pass rushes that the three other teams have.
The Defense is still the best out there but unless they can find a way to get two pix sixes a games it’s difficult to see anything getting going with the combination of that O Line and Siemian at QB.
Pats slowly turning it around – 
Pittsburgh and New England in crisis a few weeks ago. They both look well set now, can’t beat tradition really.

Really solid win for the Patriots. The defence finally looked somewhat decent. Kept them scoreless until garbage time when up by 23 late in the 4th. The special teams blocked a field goal, and they missed another FG too. And the defence kept them out when the Falcons had the ball inside the 5 and went for it on 4th and goal on the 1. Brady was solid too if unspectacular. Just kept the chains moving and kept the ball safe. Had one horrendous throw that was intercepted in the end zone but was smashed with a helmet to helmet hit so got the flag to reverse it. The committee running backs work really well for the team, but absolutely horrendous for any fantasy owners. Lewis, white, Gillislee and Burkhead all got calls at various stages with no real pattern as to when they’d be called in to make a play, other than Gillislee is usually a one yard run type call and White is the pass catcher out the back. Cooks has settled in very well and is making good big plays. Looks like Malcolm Mitchell might not be back this season at all which would be a loss, but with Hogan and Amendola contributing, its not too bad at WR.

Seriously? you are going to call the yards per game stat as being the defining factor in who is the no.1 defence? The Patriots were statistically the No1 defence last year, but realistically were no where near the No1 defence, as is being highlighted a lot this year.
I’d prefer a system where much more variables are considered into the defence rankings. Something like this:
where its a more rounded view on the actual stats rather than the black and whit of one stat only.
And Denver are 6th by this ranking up to before this weekend.

Of course the stats were skewed by Patriot playing in the fucking dire AFC East.

Either you go by the black and white defence stats of official NFL statistics, or you take into account opponents and other factors.
It’s utterly ridiculous to just go by yards conceded as being the only stat to rank a defence. Why not points allowed? Surely thats a more important stat?

It’s a fairly meaningless statistic, I wouldn’t be using it to prove anything. There was a season, 2010 I think, when the Chargers had the number 1 offense and defense in the NFL (based off ypg rankings) but were 8-8 and missed the playoffs. Their kick coverage was absolutely awful that year, so their defensive rating was completely skewed by the fact that teams had very short fields to go to score.
DVOA is a much better metric for ranking defenses.
I don’t know, ask the fucking NFL if you want. That’s how they rank Total Defense.
