Suspicious Phone Call or Text

These calls are a fucking pest. Get 3 or 4 of them some days. Usually block the number but apparently it’s almost pointless as they just generate a stream of new numbers daily.

No. These ones don’t charge you… You talk to the advisor and they’ll get you to confirm details that they’ll then use. I clicked 1 last week to have a chat to the cunts because I’m sick of them. I gave a false name to see where it would go but I got cut off… I’ll give it ago again the next time they ring and report back.

Was it Barry Cowen?

They might just hit somebody at the exact right time. A Fedex scam email when you’re expecting an important package from Fedex. It can be very tempting to click.

Just hit reply or forward the message to yourself and look at the email address being used… It’s often hidden until you do the above… So what looks like Amazon Support… Ends up being robbingcunt-abc-xyz@scum.com.

You should do a course on phishing pal. It might save you thousands.

I wish…

Send me on your credit card details and I’ll sign you up to a class.

Phone didn’t ring though :face_with_monocle:

Getting calls today from a robot worried that I might have filed an incorrect tax return. Coincidentally I filed my lpt return last night.

I pushed 1 the other day and went full Team America world police with lad I got connected to. I Durka Druka Durka’ed him for about five minutes before he gave up trying to make sense of me.

“Press 1 for for an arrest warrant!”

Ok so…

Suspicious text.

That’s a good effort in fairness

The phone calls seem to have stopped but the text messages are relentless.

It’s a free shot basically, there’s no investigation of them whatsoever.

Click through you get to this.

Still not even sure if it’s not legit but the clunky language at the top and fact that they don’t have my name or a tracking number is what makes me suspicious. On the other hand I have been waiting ages for two second hand vinyls from the uk.

The scam Bank of Ireland message is a good effort also.

Gets you to input the 2nd, 3rd and 6th digit of your access pin, then it tells you it was incorrect before asking you to input the 1st, 4th and 5th digit.

Unlikely An Post are using a Colombian web domain to collect customs

Saw that on Twitter. It was freakily good.

You’d be some mug these days if you’re not carrying around all your money in a wad in your pocket

Links through to something that looks very like the An Post website. :man_shrugging:t5: Anyway I’d sooner forego the two records than endure the hassle of having to cancel the credit card again.
