They generally pretend to be some sort of secretary and ask you to hold while they connect you to the CEO / Financial controller etc, while think you are holding they have actually connected you to premium rate number.

Only if you ring them back though I assume. They don’t actually want you to answer. Nothing happens if you answer I don’t think.
It only rings for a couple of seconds, you’d want to have the phone in your hand to catch it, has there been many caught out with this? There’s always a few dopes
They are harvesting details off your phone. The longer you are on the more they get, passwords bank details etc

I had the phone in my hand when they rang yesterday and just declined. I instantly regretted it as I wanted to see what they’d say.
