Another whopper of a day lads. Had a lovely swim there. Great waves that you could bodysurf for about 20 yards. As we were getting out there were 2 woman in their 60s surfing the waves in, having the craic. A joy to behold.

It’ll be better in your mind’s eye. Trust me. The sun was beating down and they were wearing those swimming hats with flaps like the scales of a fish and were both wwearing rubber type swimming gloves for the cold.

The Turkish brother in law arrived last night so three of us went off for a jog on the velvet strand followed by a swim off the shelters. It was like pure ice. Beautiful calm with perfectly spaced waves. Managed about 10 minutes and the hands and feet were numb as fuck but a great prep for Christmas day.
