I had my inaugural sea swim of 2020 at 9 o clock this morning in the Guillomene. It was beautiful but cold. One of the ladies near me speculated that it was about 12.5 degrees. It was mobbed.
Last dip in Donegal today
Where is that Fagan? Google doesn’t give me much.
It’s at Newtown Cove about 3 miles west of Tramore. Once you get to the car park at Newtown cove you go left for the Guillomene and right for Newtown
I’ve only been to the Guillomene swimming once or twice, will go there more often when the kids are bigger. A great spot for swimming
Cycled out for a swim out in Seapoint yesterday and saw the new bike lane on Seapoint Avenue. Hopefully it will mean less morons driving down the lane trying to find parking.
How was the swim, loads of jellyfish in the forty-foot yesterday from what I hear.
The water temperature was lovely but there’s a shit ton of algae in the water in Seapoint this year so had to wade a bit out past that. Grand and quiet out there yesterday as well.
No worries mate but the campaign is just beginningi
This is very weird but you were the first person I thought of I saw it I really need a new hobby.
It’s looks great on that side of the city. Things are really looking up for VRUs
Tram hay today and tram more tomorrow, as me father used say.
I try to avoid Seapoint for that reason, it’s a fair scaldy swim if you’re wading through that crap. It’s only really enjoyable at full tide
Do you jump in or go in off the steps?
I go in off the steps. I don’t like that rush of water up my nose.
Not long back from there this evening and it was full tide. Absolutely gorgeous swim although it was a bit too busy for my liking.
@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy my mind must’ve been wandering yesterday when I was cycling through Blackrock as I didn’t even notice the new cycle lane on the main street there. You’re doing some sterling work.
Car dominance is ending
Arise VRUs
Low Rock earlier this morning at high tide was just splendid. Set me right up for the day.
Did you pass new street?
