Bandage, what you have to remember is that not everyone has the circle of friends both m and f, the social life and the sex life that you have.
some desperados even resort to dating agencies and other dodgy games to make friends and get laid, i know its mad.
feel lucky and be grateful for what you have
It don’t get more desperate than a couple of private school failed rugby players giving up hours of their life to ponce around like Jonny Wilkinson in order to get maybe a handjob off some sweaty yolk with big shoulders.

What an utterly incredible thread? I always held out the hope that people who actually liked rugby would be those who hated this bastardisation of a game, seems i was wrong.

I enjoyed playing rugby but the physical knocks were what made that sport. There’s a cracking feeling from knocking some prick over and there’s also a great feeling from spotting a gap and tearing through it. If your punishment for not making that gap is getting thumped to the ground then it’s got an element of physical risk involved that helps you enjoy it. If the punishment is that someone will take a tag off you then the whole thing becomes pointless.

Also pretty funny reference earlier to NCC being a breadwinner. He may enter the odd raffle for a sliced pan but that would be the sum total of his breadwinning capabilities.

I’m just imagining the reaction if there was a mixed astro football league and I suggested to Jugs, Rocko, Farmer et al that we enter a team in order to widen our social circle and to get exposure to more females. I’d probably tell them that there might even be a weekend away to Galway in it too and there could even be a BBQ after one of the games where you’d get the extra bonus of having access to females from other teams. I expect they’d beat the living shit out of me and rightfully so.

I would like to state, once more that I think its a crap game.

Agree completely on the above Rocko. Nothin like waking up on a Monday destroyed with pains all over, but knowing that some other pack of cunts were even sorer.

Go on the lads!

its tough being the primary breadwinner rocko- very fookin tough

Just out of curiosity did anyone ever approach you to play Rugby. There are very few people that tall in Ireland. And unless your a useless cunt altogether you might have made a second row.

Theres an air of Charlo Spencer off you now NCC

I have a new found admiration for you

So, team TFK or no team TFK?

Both of the promoters behind TFK dont seem to like the idea so that may be the death knell.

dan, I’ve given it my blessing already.

I just don’t think it would be right to have a team representing TFK unless the 2 founder members of the website were fully behind it. Its a sad situation but I guess we knew that when we signed up here.

Ya but the boss hasnt

Your blessing is full of caveats though, a mixed blessing I guess.

I have been approached actually, once in a pub in Terenure by some old lad that said he was ‘involved’ with Terenure College.

Do you play rugby at all?
No. Don’t have any interest in it.
Really - you would make a great second row.
I have no interest in it.
Listen I am involved with Terenure College. Here is my card. We train every Tuesday and Thursday. Sure turn up next week and we’ll take it from there.
I don’t have any interest in rugby now get t’fuck away from me.

He looked at me strangely and then promptly got t’fuck away.

More caveats than a big bowl of caveats

Will ye stop…there’s no cut in Farmer at all …he’d be killed on any field where competitive sport takes place…be it rugby, gaelic football, hurling etc…everyone always wants a hop of the big lad on the pitch…poor farmer backs down from lads on an internet forum ffs…

Do oul lads often approach you in p… oh right

Just to quash a misconception here - myself, Bandage and thebhoy had a lunch to discuss TFK ages ago, before the name was decided upon. We then had a “meeting” in Dublin 5 to make further progress (thebhoy is weird like that, he actually organised a proper meeting and brought a pen and paper to it and took notes). Bandage did not attend this meeting. Ergo I do not consider Bandage a founder/founding member.

I’d see the equity split as something like:
Rocko 60%
thebhoy 25%
Bandage 15%

I would only be worried if you were to sit on me - you 17 stone mess!

So you still recognise the bhoy as an equity holder even after the prayer of the faithful debacle? You’re losing your cutting edge Rocko.
