Is there a reason it deserves disdain other than it being a football competition?
Weren’t Limerick in the final of it last year?
We were. I had to pretend to know about football and our hurlers lost to Dublin. Twas a bad auld year.

A terrible draw, we had a mildly dubious victory over them a few years ago when a controversial penalty secured us the points in our promotion year push. They’re possibly 12-14 points a better outfit than us and will be keen to redress the issues of a few years ago…

A few years ago had a very pleasant weekend in Cartick on Shannon watching Wexford managed by Banty McEnaney ground out a 2 point win on a bitterly bitterly cold Sunday
Pairc Seán can and indeed is a cold place on a February Sunday.
Of course the corporate suites weren’t there then - they’re a blessing….

That’s a fucking great draw for Laois. Better to get Down now at home than in Croker.

I think this competition should be abolished as it’s a losers’ competition that nobody gives a flying fuck about and is an insult to both the players and the public.
Bring Down down to downtown Portlaoise and take Down down
I think the GAA should schedule the semi-finals for Croke Park at 3am and 5am on Wednesday June 17th in order to go head to head with Ecuador v Curacao and Jordan v Austria.
It would be a TV ratings battle to beat them all.
