Tea
. I could go through a whole cake of it in one sitting.

.
i would worry for a lad that could eat a whole soda cake/loaf on his own in one siting…Id say you would have a shit inside you like the handle of a yard brush…

Partial to an odd cup alright.

One in the moring, one around 11 and another at around 4.

Then maybe one or two more in the evening.

The afternoon one is essential. Find myself drinking a lot of coke as well in the afternoon if the cup of tea doesn’t up the concentration levels.

Wouldn’t drink as much on the weekend.

The fry-up cup of tea is the king.

Don’t get the herbal tea thing either.

Clarkey drinks an abnormal amount of tea actually.

Only have one or two a day now. partly cos the tea-bags at work are shite.

Its nice have to made for ya and a few biscuits. Hate making it other people and would often not have a cup just so I wouldn’t have to make it for others.

Wouldn’t go near the herbal stuff.

One of my Aunties a couple of years ago tried to give it up for Lent. Worse withdrawals than heroin I’d imaagine even though she held out in the end.

We just drink a lot of it. The wife likes it and it is easy brownie points to make her a nice cup of tea when she is moaning about something. (Which is often).

Yeah still here.

One drawback alright.

id be more into coffee. nothing better than a cup of tae and a fag in the mornings tho

only tea worth drinking is shroom tea

I share the office with one other and he makes the tae at 9. Then it’s my turn at around 11. I night have one with my lunch but then there’s another mugga made at about 3 or 4. Might have one in the evening then at home.

Tae and brown bread with cheese is an absolute joy.

Rich tea biscuits work well too. 3 second sunk max.

Goldrain chocolate biscuits only-no other choc biscuits will suffice.

Also I usually don’t like tae anyone else has made for me very much.

anyone ever try herbal tea?

Can’t go far wrong with Barry’s Gold Blend loose leaf, milk in the mug first of course.

Usually would only have one or two cups a day, and would average the same of strong coffee. Have taken to the Earl Grey in a big way lately, I must say.

Normal English tea, Tetley’s etc., is shite.

Good point. I rarely trust anyone to make a cup of tea if i’m really looking forward to one. If it’s just a cup of tea for the sake of it i’ll let it slide

I voted for two on average as I have a cup about 10pm every night on weekdays and upwards to 4 cups per day on the weekend. I don’t like getting into tea rounds in work so I don’t drink it during the day during the week. I agree that the fry-up cup is tremendous, as is the morning after a heavy session cup.

Interesting thread. Myself, I love tea. Apparently my grandmother used to give me tea spoons of tea when I was 3 months old and I haven’t looked back.

I reckon I drink on average 6 -7 mugs of tea per day. I like strong tea, well drawn, preferably from a pot, plenty of milk, no siucra.

Currently I drink Lipton’s tea, but when at home (in Ireland like) I would drink Lyons Gold Blend or else Barry’s. I tend to run with a brand for a few months and then change to something different for another few months.

Can’t beat it, but you do have to put a little bit of effort into preparation, nothing worse than a badly made cup of tea.

I hate coffee.

I also drink about 8 litres of water per day.

thats the style of it…as the grandfather would say ’ tea you could trot a mouse across’…

the stronger the better is the way i like it…

I could never get used to that Lipton stuff in Australia Fitzy. We used to get boxes of Barrys sent over every so often and there was no such thing as a tea bag per cup. We even bought a teapot to maximise the returns

I don’t mind the Lipton Fran. I used to drink Dilmah, but I found it to have a very metallic taste, much like a lot of Australian beer.

You can’t beat Lyons or Barrys though, of course. Mind you I used to have ideological problems with Barrys, it being a Fine Gael tea and everything.

For something so simple, tea is tremendous and a wonderful refreshment for any time of day or night. One at 9am, one at 11.15, one at 3.30 and one at 10pm on weekdays. Small bit of milk so the tea is almost too hot at first but keeps a decent temperature for 10 minutes. Fooking hate tea with sugar. Fooking hate coffee. Went to get tea in work the other day and gave a courteous “any one for tea?” shout to a couple of people - one said “yep” but the other said “can you get me a grande skinny latte with an extra shot”. Nearly punched the cunt. What the fuck is that? Simple question, simple answer, tea or coffee, i’m buying, which one do you want you baldy slaphead cunt?

I drink about 4mugs a day between Mondays and Thursdays and at the weekends if not out beerin I’d drink about 7 a day.
The tea has to be strong, no sugar and a tiny drop of milk so that it’s too hot to drink quickly and so stays drinkable for about 15mins.

The biscuits I like with tea are
Ginger Snaps(any brand)…Dunked
Green Viscount biscuits…Dunked
Purple Snack Bars that were left in the fridge a while…just scoff, no dunking

Just having a Penguin there with a cup of tea for the first time in years. I’d forgotten how nice they are

Any type of choclate bar with tea for me - preferably a Twix or a raisin and biscuit Yorkie. Partial to the odd Kit-Kat as well.

Oh and the Cadburys Mini Rolls. Those things are fucking great.

Not a dunker at all. Nothing worse than seeing some messy punter dunk his bsicuit and then it falling into his tea and him stick his dirty fingers in after it.

Even worse if it happens to you.
