Also, as has been said she is 11 so primary school is finishing up today in most places as far as I know.

I’m actually disgusted at my own naivety here. The wee lassie probably hates Florence and the machine but her da worked out that a ticket cost less than a babysitter

You’ve played yourself for a fool here pal. She loves Florence. I went to blur saturday and am hitting sting tonight. Would happily have left it but went out of my way (made a phone call/drove to blanch) to get her a ticket. You should trust your instincts more.

I’d say he arrived home with a big take-away as well, expecting a date night. And she after cooking dinner. That’s what set her off.

Ye havent a clue lads. I’m a modern man. I picked up fresh mackerel after the school run yesterday and treated her to a whopper salad with barbecued mackerel for lunch. The days of a lad coming home to a cooked dinner are long gone. There was no pub after, no chipper. We just got on our bikes, as any decent active traveller would do, and cycled home from the gig. Carnival atmosphere amongst the cyclists winding their way past the long line of cars stuck being traffic. The only downside being that i had to take off the festival hat to put on my helmet.
