Great win for James Mcgee today. He has qualified for the main draw at the US Open.
Big day today for Irish Tennis as our top player James McGee makes his debut in the main draw of a grand slam. McGee ranked 195 in the world takes on World number 108 Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Kazakhstan. If McGee wins it will set up a mouth watering match against Tsonga. I think the game is going to be on Sky sports later.

He lost in a tie break in the fourth. Battled well especially going a break down in that 4th set. Was a great showing and he will learn a lot from this in what he needs to fitness wise. Maybe he should contact Kev for the fitness advice.

Federer is on tomorrow night in the late match against Bautista Agut. Heāll walk that. Baby Fed will be a tough proposition in the quarters though. Would expect the winner of that quarter to make the final.

Wawrinka does this all the time. He seems to go asleep for a set or so and them comes out and plays unbelievable stuff. If he could do that for a full match the guy will win more majors, he canāt do that against the top guys.
