Terrorism Thread. The terror of another nembo kev thread

Hard to say for sure, youā€™d have to ask their surviving relatives or friends

It really depends on what is defined as a terrorist attack though.

The FBI uses this definition: ā€œTerrorism is the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.ā€

5 Islamic terror attacks in France this year involving 148 fatalities, not to mention the numerous intercepts of attacks on churches and synagogues

Ya not alot in the overall picture though i would imagine. More hard hitting alright obviously

Iā€™ll have to have a look at the methodology of that link glas put up.

Iā€™d imagine thereā€™s serious massaging of the stats; if its white on Muslim then its terror and a hate crime, but the handwringers are very loathe to label it as such when the sides are reversed

I looked at the link, read first paragraph or so, and LOLā€™d. Total manipulation of stats to suit agenda, also appeared to be historic figures. Iā€™ve emailed Interpol asking them to clarify. Watch this space.

Theyā€™re Europol figures. Not exactly renowned ad handwringers.

The left is full of them

just in case anyone thought europol havent released a report since 2013

ANNEX 2: ARRESTS IN 2014 PER EU
MEMBER STATE AND PER AFFILIATION
In 2014, 774 individuals were arrested for terrorism related
offences in 16 EU Member States. This was a 43% increase
compared to 2013 (535 arrests). Most arrests were reported by
France (238), Spain (145) and the United Kingdom (132). The
number of arrests for religiously inspired terrorism continued to
rise, a trend that has been observed since 2011, whereas arrests
for separatist terrorism continued to decrease.
Ā„ Almost half of the arrests (48%) were for membership of a
terrorist organisation, whereas 22% was related to travelling
to conflict zones, 13% for carrying out attacks, and 9% for
terrorist propaganda.
Ā„ Arrests for religiously inspired terrorism continue to
represent the largest proportion of the total arrests in the
EU. Their number rose from 159 (2012), to 216 (2013), to
395 (2014).

The UK does not classify terrorist arrests by religious affiliation or otherwise, but their 132 arrests in 2014 was added to the total number, if even one arrest was islamic terrorist related, that raises the percentage. Iā€™m still looking for the the link exactly explaining what constitutes a terrorist act, but as can be seen from the arrests, its the vigilance of authorities that has prevented much more attacks by religious based terrorists. whats truly amazing in that in a effort to back up his argument our hand wringer in chief looked only at statistics that predate ISIS, not current reports. true propaganda.

Itā€™s not a proper disaster unless Kay is there.

This French flag filter on Facebook profile pictures has really taken off.

All my Americans "friends"have done it. This atrocity seems to have stirred memories of 911 over there.

Kay Burley absolutely revelling in this grief fest. She has been stood in the same spot outside that cafe for the last 24 hours.

She is the terror attack equivalent of Jim White on transfer deadline day.
