Test Match Cricket

strauss, langer and hayden on fire here
this was a brilliant test match
poignant to see andrew stauss’s wife there
the bowling of Warne- my god
If Glenn Macgrath wasnt injured before 2nd test … sad to also think he lost his wife :frowning: - what a cunt of a disease

what a match
Mark Nicholls also on vocals

45/5. Denly out. An ill advised, pyjama cricket type shot.

England won’t make 100 here.

45/6. Bairstow on his way.

What a catch by the great David Warner.

He’s as English as curtly ambrose

The scorecards make for pretty grim reading for batsmen on both sides. Its really only Australia’s South African batsman Marnus Labuscagne who emerges with any credit in that regard.

Woakes our first ball after lunch. 54/7

56/8

Christ, still overcast I’m assuming? Seemers doing untold or is it Spin?

No. Sunny. Should be good batting conditions you would think. Australia bowling has been excellent and relentless but England have contributed handsomely to their own demise here as well.

66/9. Archer on his way.

Ah this is lovely. We don’t even need captain fantastic imagine

Series captain Tim Paine is playing.

England all out for 67.

A collapse that would make even Cathal Barrett blush

spursesque collapse

Limerickesque

Fourth time in just over a year England have been bowled out for under 100. Batting has been woeful for a very long time.

Warner out for a duck. Fourth time this series Broad has picked up his wicket. 10/1

This must be one of the poorest quality Ashes series ever

Warner is one of the worst opening batsmen i can remember seeing play for Australia since 1997 when i started following this

@balbec - did you get the shipping forecast on radio 4?
