Sam konstas will rule us all rule us all some day
India pulled it back a bit after tea as it was starting to get away from them. Australia slipping from 237/2 to 311/6 at stumps. Sandpaper is still there though and seems to be finding a bit of form again.
Don’t think India are going well at all. They won the first test in Perth handily, but were completely outplayed in Adelaide and only saved by the rain in Brisbane. They lost 0-3 at home to New Zealand before this series too. Not enough of a supporting cast for Bumrah with the ball and struggling with the bat.
You’ll be waxing lyrical about the sewage plant at Carrington next.
Kicking off today. Jasprit Bumrah on an absolute HEATER. India may be on the verge of something remarkable.
This is a magnificent spell of fast bowling from Bumrah. He’s skittling through the Convicts. They’ve slumped from 80/2 to 91/6. Carey on his bike now.
Australia 474 & 91/6 India 369
Australia finally bowled out for 221 in the last over of the day, a lead of 326. Bumrah gets his 5th.
Scratch that, it’s a no ball. 228/9 at stumps. Lead of 333. It really got away from India last hour as the tail rallied. 21 runs last two overs once the new ball was taken. Lyon unbeaten on 41 and Boland on 10.
Australia pick up the big wicket of Kohli on the stroke of lunch. 33/3. Hard to see many there for India with the mindset to grimly bat out Day 5 for a draw to save the test.
India batting is just not at it anymore. Rohit Sharma and Kohli are 37 and 36 and are finished. Reckon India will be skittled out for about 120.
India still at 3 for with about 40 overs to play. They might just see this one out for the draw.
India collapse from 121/3 to 155 all out. Australia win by 184 runs.
Today Gianni Infantino feels envious of the person who came up with this poxy idea.
Harry Brooks catch today was as good a one I’ve seen
This World Test Championship Final is proceeding at quite a pace at headquarters on Day 2.
Australia 212 & 66/6 South Africa 138
Australia currently leading by 140.
73/7
Convicts lead by 218 with 2 wickets in hand. You’d fancy them to win from here
South Africa 232/3. Just the 50 runs needed now to knock off the target of 282.
Australia 212 & 207 South Africa 138 & 282/5
A 5 wicket win for South Africa the new World Test Champions.
Played a couple of games of Cricket recently. Said I’d try it for the craic and we play the parents in school at it so wanted to not be completely shit at it.
It’s harder than you think and the bats weigh a tonne compared to hurleys. Sprinting between the wicket with full pads on is a great pre season though.
I got pulled into a couple of games. Nice way to spend a nice afternoon.
It is. Standing in the field can be boring enough
