Forza TFK. Fucking destroy those Anglo cunts.
For the cause!
You had to suck off rocko to get your place?
Terrible waste of good jam.
how the fuck do you manage to do both knees? Goal celebration?
Opposition own goal is favourite at 4/6.
No TFK goalscorer at all also looks excellent value at evens.
You’re 66/1. No value in that - I’d be looking for 150s minimum.
I hear Puke had €2.50 on Scrunchie to score first tonight.
When Rocko suggested you laid on more crosses I don’t think that was what he had in mind. And anyway Good Friday was last week.
Bandage - Did you ever get a definitive diagnosis on this injury. I too have been suffering with a groin injury for the last couple of weeks. I was describing the injury to one of the lads I play astro with today and he informed me that it has all the symptoms of an injury that’s commonly referred to as 'Gilmores groin"…He further informed me that only an operation will sort this type of injury out in the long run. The injury is situated in the lower stomach - upper groin area and is most painful when sneezing, coughing, getting out of bed, getting out of the car, etc.
Jimmy Mc Nulty - I’ve yet to get a definitive diagnosis but it could very well be something like that. Trouble is “groin strain” covers a multitude of possible things and it could be related to thigh, hip, stomach, balls or even other areas too so it’s hard to pin it down exactly. The physio has given me a programme of core and groin specific exercises and I find that I play on Thursday night and can’t do anything for two days afterwards. Then I build up with the exercises again early the next week and play and repeat. The improvement is fairly minimal so far and the pain is right in the groin socket / pubic bone area so it’s fairly uncomfortable. It could have long term implications in terms of my mobility but I’m willing to risk my quality of life post astro football to bring the title back home to TFK AFC.
You see this is the type of dedication that’s witnessed all too rarely on the sporting field these days. I am reminded of other great footballers who have played through the pain barrier - Franz Beckenbauer, (broken arm) V Italy in the 1970 World Cup semi final, and Paul Mc Grath, (paralysed shoulder) at the 1994 World Cup. These are the brave kind of feats that inspires one to push oneself harder than ever before. My own team have a hugely important tournament coming up in less than a month, and by fuck, thanks to you Bandage, I am going to be there for them, even if playing through the agonising pain could lead to potentially life threatening consequences. Bravo, Bandage, Bravo.
