New versions of the Android and iphone apps are coming soon. There will be a further update to the iphone app in a couple of months.

Hopefully these updates prove as popular as the rest of the changes around here. And the mobile skin will be fixed in a couple of days too.

this is all great news Rocko, but what’s the bottom line here? Is there going to be a levy imposed because of all these ‘improvements’?

Rocko when I go to “Purchase Paid Subscription” the link doesn’t work.

I am conscious I owe you a few bob and am keen to get sorted.

Interesting you should ask that. More news will follow involving finances and the burden on the membership.

Rocko. I really don’t like the iPhone app. It seems to take ages to refresh and is blank a lot of the time when I try to browse the forum. Drop it and bring back the girls.

I haven’t used the iPhone app in months and just use the mobile version instead. App was just too buggy and didn’t update right. The android app seems much better.

Will we have to wait for the new version to fix this problem where lots of posts are just coming up as blanks on the Android app?

Good stuff. There are only so many workplace shits that I will have ruined by this before my loyalty gets tested.

You’d have to refresh the forum a few times before it would update.

I can’t remember exactly what the issues were cause I haven’t used it in a while

Android App improvements:

  • Nice new moderation facilities for Dunph and Bandage
  • New graphical interface
  • Smoother loading
  • Fewer bugs and carshes
  • Better video integration and animated gifs
  • More forum features such as "liking a post" etc
  • Thread part-loading problems are gone
  • Advanced search
  • Other forum features (like a post etc)
  • Loads of little things too numerous to mention
  • Better posting of images
Should be available for download later this evening.

Anyone have the lend of a Mac (not the hook-nosed variety) or can I trust a mac owner enough to get them to follow instructions to update the iOS app? Apple and their fucking restrictive arsehole practices.

I can’t be arsed looking for the correct thread but Rocko, I think it’s safe enough to disable the Euro 2012 prediction competition popup that users see when logging in for the first time.
