In a brand new time-honoured tradition TFK will be inducting one player to the TFK Astro Hall of Fame every Thanksgiving Day.
The present players, staff, supporters and forumites are all eligible to vote in this historic election.
Our inaugural competition promises to be a memorable affair with a magnificent list of candidates, all of whom would probably be worthy additions to the Hall of Fame.
There can only be one winner however, so please vote for the past player you feel most deserves this prestigious recognition.
This is your chance to give something back. Be grateful and remember those who don’t have a vote.
“Difficulty is the excuse history never accepts.”

Sincere apologies to anyone I’ve forgotten. Maybe next year eh.
Brief Profile/Biography where available
Arshavin23
A veritable superstar. Arshavin23 brought a touch of class to TFK when introduced to a workmanlike team. Two astro medals in his back pocket and an integral part of our scouting network these days.
Rob Casey
Peerless wideman. Old style chalk on your boots type. Lost him to a music career - if he’s half as creative and inventive in that field he’ll be on Farmer’s obscure music thread soon. Another one with a league medal.
Clarkeycat
A player who modeled himself on McManaman. Footballing philosophy was “pass and move” according to our original profiles buried deep in this forum somewhere. Clarkey was a freescoring striker in Raheny and matured into a graceful defender in the Sandymount years.
Colly
A striker.
Kylo
An old fashioned traditional Longfordian striker. Kylo played the way he was facing which was occasionally dangerous but often effective. Few will forget his five goal haul in Raheny including a deft touch with the hand to seal an early win for TFK. A huge loss to this forum.
Ledge
The flair of Arshavin23 but unfortunately never quite had his attitude.
Brian Tinnion
If Arshavin23 was a superstar then Tinnion was a megastar. The pinup boy of his generation. Good looks, a neat hairdo, always well turned out, the lad had it all. A tireless servant in the TFK jersey. Those medals are shining brightly in NYC these days.
Ro
A lotto winner.
Nemesis, Fran, Krusty, Doyler and Tayto were deemed to have played insufficient games so far to be eligible for this election. Appendage wasn’t good enough to make the vote. Smelly has not officially retired so will be a likely candidates in future years.
The player with most votes at 12 noon Irish time on Thanksgiving Day will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie the casting vote will go to Dunph. In the event of a rules dispute The Link Walsh will have no jurisdiction.
Thanks to Pikeman for his work on the logo.
