TFK Dance Classics Thread

I beg to differ. Pills are in the brain of the beholder. And having dropped a few at an Iron Maiden gig and getting an unreal high, I can vouch for that.

lads, relive your best Ecstasy experiences here, one of my first was after the time Leah Betts unfortunately died, in fact it was the weekend two weeks before it, if my memory serves me right, I took the exact same pill (apples) when I was coming up on it I suffered savage fear that i was going to die, (the media coverage at the time inferred if you did not drink enough water you would die) but when it kicked in good and proper, nothing mattered anymore, below in the Theater Royal in Limerick it was, Billy Nasty, every sort of cunt in it, that was before Limerick got destroyed with gang warfare

Saturday nights in GPO in Galway back in late 90s were epic. The DJs would chew you up and spit you out.

This one is still a classic - trance at its finest. Oh 1998ā€¦

Ah, I was into it all. House, Techno, Trance. The key always was having a DJ that interacted with the crowd and paced his set for when people would be hitting their highs. Electronica was a time and a place for me Tass - had a fantastic time in clubs from Galway to London and Paris to Amsterdam with a great bunch of lads - some of whom were damn good DJs in their own right. Yup. Partied hard. Took what was going. Snorted the dust outta the bag!

Having said that, since I first heard Megadeth and Metallica back in the 80s, heavy metal has always been my music of choice. Was considering starting a metal thread here, but I reckon itā€™d be fairly lonely. Only reference Iā€™ve seen on here were from @Fagan_ODowd (Mamaā€™s Boys) and @farmerinthecity (Tool). But that sort of talk has no place in this threadā€¦

Here pal Iā€™m a big metal fan. Particularly Mastodon. Iā€™ll post up pictures of me at their Academy gig again later.

Some spot for drugs alright, I was green as they come and never dabbled just drank straight whiskey and danced it off. The music was savage back thenā€¦ Driving to the Hydro on a Saturday night in September, Mickey Mac belting out tunes on 2fm. Great days.

@ironmoth would you have frequented the GPO around 96-99?

I hear you, metallica and ac/dc were all the rage in the late 80ā€™s when I was a young fella, and I loved it,and still love it, but dance music changed my life, changed my life in ways that I never possible, it might not be politically correct to say it, but Ecstasy made me the person I am today
