TFK gaming thread

Wouldn’t go that far. It does the things you expect it do well coming from CDPR but the shooting/enemy encounters aren’t fantastic. I do like the hacking and customisation however.

As an aside, if anyone wants a cheaper but very good racing game, Desert Dakar Rally on the PS5 is excellent.

Finished the story mode last night. Lost all track of time and played for about 5 hours straight (or about 8 cans worth of time). There is a battle at the end that is as good a gaming experience as I’ve ever had

To be released in 2024. Developed by a company in Belfast.

Be very interesting to see what player names they use. They had no licensing last time so you had any amount of star players with names like Jameson and Orr. The addition of club teams on Gaelic Games 2 (or perhaps it was the hurling version) was gas too. The colour of the jerseys bore no resemblance to clubs actual colours in most cases.

There used to be dismay in career mode when your 90 rated star player retired to be replaced by some useless 49 rated fella. The end of season reward could range from a dinner dance to a trip to Australia depending on how generous your county board were feeling.

Any hurling?

The hurling version was a distant second last time. It was too easy to score goals. A veritable feast of snipers in Cooper helmets.

Once you discovered that Ashutosh hadn’t developed a subroutine for goalies to deal with balls that came from outside the 45 it kind of ended it as any sort of challenge.

The eldest lad is gonna lose his shit

Any use?

It doesn’t look great from the small clip on their Tik Tok anyway.

Dunno if anyone here plays singleplayer games, but the new Cyberpunk DLC “Phantom Liberty” has a very good 10 hour story starring Idris Elba. Almost finished it now.

Brings back great memories.

There was another ps game and maybe for the computer you could play. You sort of had to pick up these diamonds. Anybody recall the name of it?

I can nearly visual the the first level of it. Running through timber doors and climbing up on the sides picking up all these jewels.

Spiro?

Rayman?

Nope

Na you were like a green dinosaur of sorts. You’d collect diamonds.
