He was long term solidity there. Had a few forgettable ones though. Rewatched the first game against Tipp in 2014 the other night and he was destroyed. I know he was 32 / 33 at the time but canât understand how he lasted the full game

Big vote for Ken McGrath
Cummins, D Burke and McGrath in 1, 3 and 6 is a fair result and bodes well for the process not being corrupted by the Limerick imbecile crew.
Do lads realise Ken McGrath was an average CB, probably a better player at 11 truth told.
How Seanie McMahon didnât win this is laughable.
Dark forces at play?
Idiots?
If it was last 25 years, it would have been Seanie hands down
Guys who donât respect the INTERNET
With the timframe set, McGrath played for over a decade and won 4 Munster titles, McMahon played for 5 years and won none. Agreed McMahon was the better center back over their respective careers.
There is no comparison tbh.
Fuck it, as a natural CB who did a defensive job Ronan Curran a far superior hurler too.
Ken was a super hurler but he was all flash and not a fella for looking after those in behind him.
Seven season McMahon played in the 2000s. 00 to 06. Agreed though he was still an excellent centre back in that time but the likes of McGrath and Curran would have been more deserving
In fairness for most of his time at CB, you couldnât mind what he had behind him.
Ken was headless as a forward, not accurate enough and too wasteful. His conversion to CB turned him from a very good hurler to a great. Much better playing the way he was facing, sweeping behind the wing backs and setting up attacks rather than trying to finish them off
Curran badly wronged here to have flash Ken ahead of him.
McGrath vs Hannon in the final now
Delighted for Ken and the Waterford lads here. A gentleman. Weâd have squeezed him in somewhere in Cork but it wouldnât have been ahead of Curran. No sireee bob
