Dublin Airport was like a morgue yesterday. Very quiet. I heard it was an hour or more through security a few days last week due to lack of staff.

I have a bad feeling about this trip, but I get a bad feeling about all trios these days involving checking in.
I have an internal flight Manchester to LHR, which BA in their wisdom.had booked me to connect with a Singapore flight 45 minutes after landing.
Itās both T5, but I expect Iāll have to exit and go back through security etc, so Iāve got a three and a half hour layover in Heathrow.
Iāve just bought a bag of sleeping pills.

Passed through for about 24 hrs years ago on way back from Van Diemens land. I got the impression it is almost like a business hub for Asia?

I was in manchester airport Saturday evening. It was absolutely empty. Girl said theyāve not bothered opening majority of food places as thereās just no numbers coming through the airport.
We were last flight of day. It took off early, had maybe 10 people onboard and we hit the tarmac in Dublin 30 mins later.
There are some positives to travel right now compared to normal times

All US airports are back to relative normality. I came through LaGuardia and JFK last week and the usual nonsense. Half the time I wonder what the point is in paying for TSA pre clearance annual charge.
Dublin appears to be a little slower in recovery. Thereās a few retail units that still look unopened. 51st and Green has been a disgrace of late.

Iāve just updated a total of eight documents to the BA app and am awaiting confirmation Iām allowed to travel.
Dixonās closed today. McDonalds is gone next week. Covid lunacy destroyed the airport
