Sweden is doing fine. They need the immigrants, just like Ireland do. The same way Australia, Germany and the U.S. at different points in their timelines required immigrants to further develop the state.

We’ve been a good country for immigration and lots of great people have moved here and added value over the last 20 years from Poland, Nigeria and lots of other places. They came over with their passports and took a punt. There are Indian people living in my community and the way they way they raise their kids (and the kids themselves are a credit) and they way they work, are a credit to all.

I’d wager a massive % of vile unnecessary crime in Ireland in past 5 years has been carried out by Homegrown talent.

I do strongly believe that forced multiculturalism doesn’t work, when there’s money/benefits involved it works even less. The decline of every bit of pride and heritage and history over thousands of years seems to have been swallowed in the last 18 months, and nobody had a choice in it.
There’s town’s down the country in Roscrea etc which are going to be gone forever when the large number of immigrants there bring over their families from safe countries and bed down and do everything in their in their power to not integrate.
It’s happened so quick and it’s really sad and nobody had any agency in it. There’s no going back either.
Imagine, people laughing at the old concept of community and people and protecting that.

I’m obviously wrong on this, but I’m not sure why.
Imo the biggest threat to Community as we once knew it is not immigrants but it’s the pace of life & way we’re all currently living.
Working long hours, less socialising, phones, internet access & social media reliance all toxic to what was once normal cultural behaviour.
We have all grown so self obsessed & opinionated. We don’t vent to friends & neighbours now, we go online…

The twitter account is very cynical, a lot of fights and crashes etc and every now and again an anti immigrant post mixed in
