Why is this DannyBoy character ringing a bell for me?
He got a huge following on social media in the early covid days as a kind of aggregator of information & compiler of stats. He was very supportive of the public health measures & the government stance. Conversely, that drew ire from the corner of Irish Twitter that hates anything FFG. He then set up a go fund me type thing where you could donate to him to thank him for all his covid work. Then it was alleged that he’d been latching onto people that had supported him. He was apparently following up on a private one-to-one basis & had wangled money out of some of them with some bad luck/bad health stories. He was then cancelled & this must be his latest comeback attempt.

I think the simplest explanation is that she was rejected by mainstream media and tried to use what noteriety she had to grift the far right for cash.
It isn’t really working, same way as in the mainstream media, as she isn’t a star. She should’ve stuck with the newsreading. Lucky to have been on television in the first place.
