My father say tubridy had some uncle who was a great man. Think he was over the trains or something.
I think the tubridy grandad one is a strange one. He seems to have been a fairly big republican figure in the WOI etc and in some cases that would be a badge of honour for tubs but hes seen as a stick to beat tubridy with.
Like a fair portion of kids end up doing what their parents did too.
