This looks strong enough partnership. Initiative really is with England and Wales though
Time for Swann to stand up and be counted here. He loves bowling to left handers and there’s two at the crease now. He didn’t bowl well before lunch…but he’s just got North here. Bad decision in truth, but Strauss was out off a no ball yesterday.
Poor poor decision.
That partnership just ended, North lbw 108/5. Still not a time to count chickens. But if England can get them all out for around 200 and then manage 200 themselves in their 2nd then I don’t think the Aussies will manage 300 in their 2nd.
My earlier prediction about Kattich being left alone looks more likely.
North gone, LBW Swann, Aus falling apart.
Indeed. It happens unfortunately and Australia had probably 2 wickets yesterday that were bad decisions.
Disgraceful decision. Indicitive of the whole series really. Any rub of the green that was going went the way of the home team.
I wouldn’t write Australia off just yet. I certainly wouldn’t put money on Punter and Pup failing with the bat 2 innings in a row. A draw will do.
Yes. Another one bites the dust. Katich is gone. Johnson can bat but one more wicket will expose the tail.

Katich is gone, my prediction is lost, Olympiakos had it right.
All of a sudden the follow-on is slightly possible.

Australia have been the beneficiaries of several dodgy decisions both in the first innings of this match and in Leeds. Take your beating gracefully please, in line with ICC recommendations.

What !!!
Some bad decisions but absolutely no way do they favour the home team.
Australia were bowling nb’s all day yesterday and got wickets off them. Today Watson should have been gone lbw at 4.
And Punter has already failed with the bat twice in a test this series.
Awesome by Broad here. He’s just cleaned up Haddin with a dinger of a delivery for his Michelle. Ah lovely.
Haddin gone !! England are into the tail. Follow-on still unlikely but possible.
That said, given the disintegrating wicket, England might not want to enforce it as that would put them batting last.
Aussies are Badly Rattled.
127-7
131-8 now
I’d go as far as to say the Aussies are being exposed.

Make that 132-8. All out for around 150 looks likely and if England only manage 150-200 themselves that leave the Aussies needing over 330-380 runs on that pitch.
Anyone back England to win the series before the last of this test, think they were around the 9/2 - 5/1 mark
Another one bites the dust…Clark gone for 6…143 for 9
This has been a great afternoon’s entertainment…
How are the celebrations coming along…
