Huge wicket for England already.
Oh dear, Philip Hughes.
With all the hot air from Australia before this series about Phil Hughes & Mitchell Johnson, has to be said so far they’ve been the two poorest players in the Australian team.
Ponting gone 10/2. His Lords jinx continues. Anderson again. We’ll see what the likes of Hussey, Clarke, North & Haddin are like to bat now without the safety net of the captain’s apron strings to cling onto.
Outrageous decision though, ball clearly hit his boot and not the bat. Poor auld Leahy can’t carry them forever, a lot of batting to come so England shouldn’t get too excited just yet.
Should England and Wales enforce the follow on?
Brutal decision on Ponting by all accounts. No mention of that one from Manuel though - quick enough to point out the other ones.
Poor start for Australia but they have much better batting depth it seems.
Must have been a very special moment for the loyal Australian subjects to meet the Queen during lunch there.

Bitterness and anger oozing out of Rocko here. Karma for Ponting charging at the umpire in Cardiff claiming non-existent catches - cheating cunt.
A few drops of rain starting to fall…
Ponting even looks like a smarmy git that you would just love to beat to death with a shovel.
The dirty fooker is constantly spitting on himself.
Manky bastard, I woudl not be surprised if he was one of the ‘guests’ lurking in the lovely ladies thread.
Here, Ponting, you’re a wanker.
Having said all that, I’m going for the Aussies. The enemy of your enemy is your enemy but not as much an enemy as your enemy.
Yours etc,
GSH.
Rain.
This test will be a draw as well.
For fooks sake. Fair play to EW, they batted well, especially Strauss (didn’t know he had it in him), but the Aussie bowling was shocking. Losing Hauritz was bad enough, but Johnson has completely lost all semblance of his action. He’s trying too hard and it shows.
Pissed off for Phil Hughes, brutal decision on Ponting. You’re right Evo, draw all over this match (jesus christ, Ollie Baker’s gone soooo bald, I’m watching the Clare / Galway game, bit harsh on Brian O’Connell. No hang on, watching the replay. Fuck me thats terrible, he should get a long suspension for that).
Australia look shell shocked, a team out of sorts, toiling but not getting anywhere. Ponting’s captaincy again seems to be at fault, there’s no leadership here. Johnson needs a bit of TLC, anyone who saw him against SA will know he’s a terrific bowler, but obviously a confidence player, and his confidence is shot to hell. Lee or Clark could well be in for the 3rd test at this rate.
If Hauritz is gone for the rest of the test, he should give McDonald a bowl, he’s handy.
Its up to Hussey now.
Oh shit…
Oh FFS, on comes the hovercraft again… at least Hussey’s in double figures.
Hey what happened GBH? I thought he was a certainty for this. I was looking forward to him and Monty together. I feel so let down.
Why aren’t they giving Onions a go? Surely he’d swing it here?
20 minutes of play before the rain strikes again.
With a rainy forecast for the next month and moderate bowling attacks on both sides, this could finish up a 1-0 or even 0-0 series.
Grevious Bodily Harmison terrorising Nottinghamshire I see up at Trent Bridge.
Decent stand from Australia there up to tea. They’ll need Katich and Hussey to hang around for another good while but they’ve scrambled well so far.
After initial flurry, English attack looking very toothless now. On the evidence of this, you wouldn’t be too hopeful of them taking 20 wickets this series.
The boys on Cricinfo said that it was LBW anyway if not a catch.

GBH took 5-20 for Durham today. They should have dropped Broad.
