The 2025 Six Nations

2013 was a shit six nations. I remember being at a christening for our last game againt the French. What a boring match
We lost to a crap Scottish and English team in dull low scoring encounters.

I think that video of anticipation was the best thing about the year. Think O Gara was on his last legs then and Kidney was given the boot after the dreadful campaign. An annus horriblus

Was.offered tickets to the France match which is at home this year. 160 notes. You can fuck right off with that.

Instead, going to Rome for the match against the Itals. 40 quid for the ticket.

Rome would be some trip I’d say. Italy in mid-march ….

Joe molloy said tickets are on line for 2k for the England game.

2013 was the pits, we lost to Italy in Rome and for one of the games we selected AN Other at 10 after ROG was dropped and both Sexton and Jackson and maybe Madigan had knocks so we’d no idea who would start that weekend.

Think it was the worst team, since the dross of the early 90s, where we were nearly guaranteed a hiding in every game. Even the Scots used to beat us regularly back then.

Is the fiddlers elbow one?

No a Wexford lad owns two. The scholars and the abbey.

Grand spots for a game.

Do you think Italian tourists go to pizzerias in Dublin?

I think I looked at Napoli from Dublin at the time. All the travel options had been jacked up anyway. I’ll look again in two years time. Rome is my favourite city, any visit there is fantastic.

I loved it

The last Six Nations match I was at was the away match in Cardiff in 2019 and it was still mighty craic. I’ve only Rome left on the list of away games but it’ll get done at some stage.

Think the best one I went to was the Le Drop in 2018. Unreal craic but my word is Saint Denis a rough spot.

Flights mad but we booked into milan, high speed train to rome, couple days there, Florence for a day/night and home. 250 each return but booked ages ago when fixtures announced and flights direct were about 800 even then.

Fact its Paddys weekend/public holiday back here had the return leg good bit saucier than the outward to milan
