Faz is timing this perfectly
Getting absolutely hammered and playing terribly and making a heap of changes to make shit stick is now preparing for the World Cup.
Gerry described Gibson park as the second best player on the planet the other day.
Faz has cracked rubby in the way Davy Fitz cracked hurling. “Rud” has given us a heads up that Saracens are interested so the IRFU need to extend Faz before it’s too late
Luke fitz after going for Sam P with both barrels.
FFS, same as every “world cup cycle”…
I made the same observation the other day about having increased our pool of players this six nations. And I noted a good while back how Farrell is really good at proactively expanding the pool. G-Thorn must be looking in on my rugby observations.
None of which is true of course.
I rather be on the same page as G Thornley Esq thank the rugbixes on here ![]()
Faz gets it. But he erred by dropping Baby P
There’s lads out there claiming that basic numbers aren’t true. They wouldn’t know whether the ball was stuffed or pumped.
Injuries under Schmidt - bad.
Injuries under Farrell - good
What do you expect Farrell to do field 11 players when he’s lads out injured?
All wrong again just like yesterday spoofing about a decent man like Joe Schmidt.
I do think Schmidt is a decent man, seems a likeable guy. His coaching approach gets results but was limited with Ireland and had a shortish shelf life.
Schmidt was a great coach. He just decided Ireland couldnt play rugby and win.
Maybe he was right.
Ah lovely… just lovely ![]()
We’re bang on course #4yearcycle
Couldn’t win not playing rugby either.
Like Conor Mortimer’s rebuttal to the fan shouting “We’ll never win an All Ireland with Mortimer playing” - “Won’t win one without me either”
Article or podcast?
I presume it was on his podcast but I just read a blog about it.
He’s gone after him hard enough
Would be unfair if he has. The kid only trying his best in the situations hes been thrown into. Powerbrokers in Leinster are the ones deserve a collar-pull
Your suggestion of him being ready to play double pivot is miles off on my opinion. He needs tonnes more time in one spot to get certainty and confidence before you fuck with redefining his role further
In fairness he was number two in Leinster when Farrell promoted him to number one in Ireland.
I’d say Leinster would have kept him as two. Not sure you can blame them.
Imo Leinster are invariably so dominant in so many games it’s hard for him to learn. Like if he was at Munster or Connacht he’d have plenty of experience behind a pack being steam rolled.
It isn’t easy for him.
I think having a play making 12 will suit Sam and help him.
I reckon tector will become that play making 12 in Leinster in time as well.
He’d be uncapped if he had spent his adult career to date playing behind weaker packs
